Frequently asked questions
Where are you based?
I’m based in Suffolk and cover the whole of the UK. If you’re getting married further afield and would like me to be your wedding photographer then I’m pretty much happy to travel anywhere – especially if it’s somewhere hot 🙂 My prices, for full day weddings, include travel anywhere in the UK. For portrait and engagement shoots my prices include travel within a 10 mile radius of Bury St Edmunds. For further distances I charge 50p per mile to cover the cost of my fuel.
Do you do group shots?
Although I prefer genuine emotions and natural reactions, I am more than happy to do a few group shots. I would recommend you try to keep it to around 8-10 shots and you need to allow approximately 30 minutes to have these taken. Your bestman and ushers can be really helpful here in helping to organise everyone.
How much deposit do I pay and when is my balance due?
£300 (non refundable) booking fee to secure your date and the remainder balance 2 months before your wedding. For portrait shoots the full amount is payable on booking to secure your date.
When will my photo’s be ready?
You will normally receive your images within 6-8 weeks. You’ll also have a link and password to view your online gallery which you can share with your friends a family too.
Can I print my images?
Yes absolutely. You have full printing rights to print any of your photos.
How many photos do I get?
For your wedding you will receive a minimum of 400 images with all full day packages. In most cases there will be a lot more images than specified. I don’t believe in charging you for extra images or keeping them all to myself so you will receive all images that are up to my high standard, in high resolution and fully edited in my signature style. For portrait and engagement shoots it’s a minimum of 30.
What equipment do you use?
I use top quality Canon professional camera’s and lenses and I always carry back up equipment too – just in case! Fortunately I’ve never had to use it!
Do you need feeding?
I’m more than happy to get something myself to eat (ideally on site) which I’ll grab while you’re sitting down having your wedding breakfast. This gives me a chance to have a break and back up your images. Some couple’s do like to provide me with something hot to eat and this is greatly appreciated too (keep’s me going for a few extra hours) and I’ll never say no to a slice of cake and cup of tea!! 🙂
Who owns the Copyright for the photos?
I own the copyright so that basically means that your images can’t be sold, edited or used commercially without my permission and I have the right, if I wish, to use your images to advertise, enter competitions and promote my services (on my blog, website, social media, marketing material etc…) If your hairdresser, make up artist, cake supplier, venue etc…..would like to use my images please just ask 🙂
