The beautiful Langley Abbey wedding of Vicky & George

Vicky and George had their wedding at Langley Abbey in the stunning Norfolk countryside.

The day started with a visit to High Barn on the Langley Abbey Estate, where Vicky and her bridesmaids were getting ready. The prosecco was flowing and there was plenty of laughter. Vicky looked stunning in her beautiful dress and a pair of sparkly Jimmy Choos!

Of course, the day wasn’t just about the girls so I headed over to Monks Barn, again part of the Langley Abbey Estate, where the boys were getting ready and captured some great shots of them too.

When everyone was ready, I went to the main venue, the stunning Langley Abbey, to capture George and all the guests arriving. Inside the venue looked simply beautiful – with soft fabrics, beautiful flowers, and grand chandeliers set against stonewalls and exposed beams.

After the ceremony, all the guests headed outside for drinks and canapés…there was a LOT of aperol spritz being consumed! It took my mind right back to beautiful sunny afternoons in Italy! We took a few group shots before I took Vicky and George around the Abbey ruins for some couple shots.

There were so many wonderful details and personal touches, and I tried to capture as many of them as possible. From the use of rose gold and peonies (Vicky’s favourites!) and the beautiful styling throughout the venue, through to the semi-naked wedding cake, and even flip flops for sore feet later, Vicky and George had thought of everything!

We grabbed a must-have confetti shot, before we all headed back inside for the speeches, which I have to say were absolutely hilarious! It’s fair to say that George was suitably ribbed by his bestman…the entire room was in hysterics.

After the speeches, it was time for the wedding breakfast. I was lucky enough to be treated to a delicious three course meal…it gave me a much-needed boost of energy for the evening’s festivities. All three courses were incredible but the trio of deserts has to be my favourite – George had made the brown bread ice cream himself using his Grandad’s secret recipe! Such a treat!

Once we were all well and truly full, I took the bride and groom back outside for some more couple shots as the light had changed considerably.

Now it was time to get ready for the evening celebrations…and this meant a change of look for Vicky who donned some red lippy and removed the lace layer of her dress. Needless to say, she looked just as beautiful as she had done during the first part of the day.

Once the evening guests had arrived, it was time for the first dance. The happy couple took to the dance floor and the guests soon joined in, dancing to the band and having a fabulous time.

Whilst the band took a well-deserved break, we all went outside to watch the most gorgeous sunset I have ever seen! The guests were playing drinking games, drinking shots, and building human pyramids – so much laughter and fun, all against the backdrop of the stunning sunset. It’s safe to say I managed to get some incredible shots!

We all then headed back inside for more dancing. The dance floor was full to the brim with guests letting their hair down and having fun…I left them all to party on into the night.

A wonderful and memorable day for everyone concerned!
