This beautiful suffolk ‘vintage style’ wedding took place a few weeks ago at St Mary and St Martin’s Church in Kirton followed by afternoon tea, a hog roast and dancing at Newbourne Village Hall.
I arrived at Vicki’s parents house in the morning, where Vicki was getting ready, and was greeted with such great warmth from all of Vicki’s family – I felt welcome immediately and knew this was going to be an amazing day 🙂 Once Vicki was ready I headed over to the church to meet Martin and his groomsmen for a few photos. They had decided to walk to the church across the surrounding fields so it was great to capture them arriving.
The ceremony was lovely and the church was full of wild flowers, some of which Vicki had arranged in wellies at the end of the aisles! I LOVE that idea 🙂
It was then off to the village hall for afternoon tea. Vicki had decorated the hall beautifully – bunting, vintage crockery, more wild flowers, paper chains, lanterns – all so pretty! After tea and cake (YUM) we headed off (with flipflops) into the surrounding fields for some couple shots. Martin and Vicki were an absolute joy to photograph – up for anything I suggested and completely trusted me. Vicki was brilliant trouping across the fields in her dress. At one point I did say I thought it was maybe a little muddy so totally understood if they weren’t up for going any further. Vicki’s reply ‘no, lets go for it!’ Brilliant and it was so worth it as we got some fantastic shots 🙂
Such a great day and thank you so much Martin and Vicki for allowing me to share and capture some special memories for you. Here are some of my favourites….
Please do leave a comment – my couples love to hear the nice things you have to say 🙂
