Awesome, fantastic, amazing, brilliant, inspiring and fun!! These are just a few of the words I would use to describe the Manchester wedding photography workshop I have just got back from!
Run by the amazing award winning photographers Neil Redfern and, husband and wife team, Liam and Bee Crawley. they have joined forces to form Redfern Crawley United offering workshops and advice to photographers. These guy’s are some of the top wedding photographers in the country so it was such a privilege to spend the day with them not only watching how they work but also to gain lots of practical advice and experience. They were so willing and generous to share their knowledge and they did so in such an easy to understand way (I’m the first to admit when things start to get technical my eyes have that sort of glazed over look! Haha!)
We were also joined for the day by the lovely Pete and Laura Lawson (again, amazing photographers and such lovely people too) They were the other side of the camera this time posing as our gorgeous bride and groom. Laura looked like a movie star – soooooo glamourous……and Pete??!! – well Pete just loves to skip! 🙂 Lots of fun to photograph! We also got to shoot Julia, a beautiful model and just impossible to take a bad picture of!
Bee worked so hard to make sure we were all fed and watered! As soon as you had an empty hand another cup of tea appeared! I could get very used to that! 🙂 She also made the most delicious chocolate cake which was divine! We were all made to feel so welcome. Thank you so much.
All in all it was such a fantastic day, shooting with a group of like minded, very relaxed and friendly photographers combined with the skills and knowledge from Liam and Neil who are truly wedding photographers at the top of their game! I left with a spring in my step (I think that was all Pete’s skipping) and feeling totally inspired! Any other photographers out there who are thinking of booking a workshop, book this one! I can highly recommend it! 🙂
Here are some of my shots from the day – I’ve left in some of the behind the scenes ones as I do like to tell a story 🙂
