A Romantic Summer Wedding at Mannington Hall, Norfolk

A Picture-Perfect Summer Wedding at Mannington Hall, Norfolk

As a wedding photographer based in the beautiful county of Norfolk, I’m fortunate to capture love stories in the most beautiful locations. This summer, I had the pleasure of photographing Clemmie and Jack’s magical wedding at Mannington Hall in Norfolk. It was a day brimming with love, laughter, and the kind of moments that make my job an absolute joy.

Morning Preparations: Laughter and Champagne

The day began at a bustling hair salon, where Clemmie, her bridesmaids, and her mum were getting their hair styled. The room was full of excited chatter, and the atmosphere was light and joyful. It was here that I first met Clemmie, whose infectious smile immediately set the tone for the day. You could tell how much her bridal party adored her, as they shared stories, laughter, and a few emotional moments amidst the buzz of hairdryers.

After the hair was done, we headed to Clemmie’s parents' home for the final stages of getting ready. The house was a hive of activity, with friends and family popping in to say hello and share in the excitement. There was a sense of warmth and togetherness that filled every corner of the house.

The popping of champagne corks marked the start of the celebrations. Glasses were raised, and everyone shared a toast to Clemmie as she prepared for the biggest day of her life. The natural light pouring into the rooms added a touch of magic as I captured candid moments of Clemmie slipping into her dress and her bridesmaids helping with the final touches.

A Heartfelt Ceremony Full of Smiles

Leaving the house, I headed to the church where Jack, the groom, was waiting. He greeted guests with a mix of excitement and calm, his love for Clemmie evident in the way he spoke about her.

The ceremony itself was a delight to capture. Clemmie couldn’t stop smiling, her happiness shining through in every photo. Jack’s eyes lit up as Clemmie walked down the aisle, a moment that left not a single dry eye in the room. The vows were heartfelt, and the sense of love and support from their friends and family was palpable.

After the ceremony, we moved outside for a handful of group photos. The historic charm of the church provided a beautiful backdrop as I photographed Clemmie and Jack with their immediate family. Then came one of my favourite moments of any wedding—the confetti throw. Guests lined the path outside the church, showering the happy couple with petals as they laughed and celebrated their first moments as newlyweds.

Exploring Mannington Hall

From the church, we made our way to Mannington Hall, a venue I had the pleasure of photographing for the first time. For those unfamiliar with it, Mannington Hall is an absolute gem nestled in the Norfolk countryside. The historic hall and its beautifully kept gardens are open to the public, and it’s well worth a visit even if you’re not attending a wedding.

The guests enjoyed drinks and canapés on the lawn in front of the hall, which provided a picture-perfect setting for candid photos. One unique touch that stood out was the Tea Pod—a charming mobile truck serving specialty coffees, bubble teas, and the most indulgent hot chocolate (yes, I sampled it, and it was delicious!).

A Marquee Celebration

The celebrations moved into a beautifully decorated marquee for the wedding breakfast. The tables were adorned with bright beautiful floral arrangements, and the atmosphere was very relaxed.

The speeches were a highlight of the day. Clemmie’s dad shared touching memories, the best man had everyone in stitches with his anecdotes, and the bridesmaids brought a mix of humour and heartfelt emotion. Finally, Clemmie and Jack addressed their guests, expressing their gratitude and love for everyone who had supported them on their journey, along with their love for each other.

Golden Hour Bliss

As the evening unfolded, we were blessed with a stunning golden hour. The grounds of Mannington Hall provided the perfect backdrop for some relaxed couple portraits. Clemmie and Jack strolled hand in hand through the gardens, taking in the beauty of their surroundings and sharing quiet moments together.

For me, golden hour is always a magical time to shoot. The soft, warm light adds a natural glow to every image, and Mannington Hall offered endless opportunities to create truly breathtaking photos. From the reflection of the hall in the nearby lake to the vibrant blooms in the gardens, every corner was a dream.

Dancing the Night Away

As the sun set, it was time for the first dance. Clemmie and Jack danced together under twinkling lights, surrounded by their loved ones. The party quickly kicked into full swing, with guests hitting the dance floor to celebrate late into the night.

It was clear to see how much Clemmie and Jack are adored by their friends and family. The love in the room was overwhelming, and the energy was contagious. I left the wedding feeling incredibly lucky to have been a part of such a special day.

A Lasting Impression

Clemmie and Jack are the kind of couple that remind you why weddings are so special. Their warmth, kindness, and joy radiated throughout the day, making it an absolute pleasure to capture their love story.

Mannington Hall provided the perfect setting for their celebration, and I’m already looking forward to the chance to return to this stunning venue. For now, I’ll cherish the memories of Clemmie and Jack’s wedding—a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.

If you’re planning a wedding and looking for a venue that combines historic charm with natural beauty, Mannington Hall is truly a hidden gem. And if you’re searching for a wedding photographer to capture your day, I’d love to be a part of your journey.

Here’s to Clemmie and Jack—thank you for letting me be a part of your beautiful story.
