Inviting someone you just met to your wedding might not be your style – especially to capture all your special moments!
Here’s a chance to get to know me a bit better
Born and brought up in Essex, I always had a curious mind – wanting to explore the world, learn more and experiment with different hobbies.
Even today, you’ll find me and my nose buried in big and little projects that catch my interest. If I’m not out photographing gorgeous weddings, I’m keeping myself busy in other ways – planning my next travel adventure, baking tasty creations in my kitchen, writing blog posts (or trying to) and sometimes even thinking up small business ideas for my family and I to indulge in!
I currently live in Bury St Edmunds with my husband Chris, my two lovely boys Jack and Harry. And of course my adorable fur babies – Reg and Ethel, our miniature schnauzers, and Glitzy the cat. We’re a pretty big bunch!
Photographing weddings – where it all began
When I was younger, the biggest dream I had was being a wedding photographer. From the young age of 12, you’d find me clutching on tightly to a Kodak camera, stealing stills of this and that. Developing them was always a painful wait – and they usually came out blurred or mostly dark.
But I kept going – I began to photograph friends’ weddings and family functions as a hobby when I was just 20. I always snapped candid moments, unlike many professional photographers at the time who took mostly staged photos (which I’m still not a fan of). And my passion for photography, along with my skills and equipment, began to grow more and more.
As for weddings, I’ve always been a sucker for a love story. The idea of being in love, of all your friends and family coming together to celebrate and just the aura of pure happiness – that’s what weddings are about. So, becoming a wedding photographer was a no brainer really!
They say never to mix business and pleasure – well, I say otherwise!
Combining my absolute love for travel and for wedding photography, I decided to come up with a bucket list of UK or international destinations, and types of weddings that I would be blown away to photograph.
And I’m offering discounted packages to any couples who can help me tick one off the list!
Here’s a list of criteria that comes with it - A wedding at any destination, or a type of wedding, that’s on my list. Intimate wedding of 50 guests or under. A portrait session – be prepared to go off the beaten path! Couples that are madly in love. If you’re planning something unique and intimate that isn’t on my list, get in touch and maybe I’ll add it on – and of course, you can help me tick it off!
