A WEDDING TO REMEMBER AT PENTNEY ABBEY

Wedding bells were ringing at a Pentney Abbey wedding on a beautiful day in Norfolk last weekend, as the super lovely Charlie and Justin exchanged their vows at this stunning venue. As a wedding photographer, it was my absolute honour to capture every moment of their big day, from the excitement of the bride getting ready, the emotional ceremony to the hilarious speeches and fun-filled reception.

The couple tied the knot in a truly historic gatehouse that oozes with charm and character. As soon as their vows were sealed with a kiss, the newlyweds and their guests made their way to the enchanting bar for a celebratory tipple or two (or three…). But the real feast for the senses awaited them in the adjacent barn, where they indulged in a delicious wedding breakfast. From the mouth-watering starter to the main course and dessert, every morsel was a true culinary delight. Such a happy atmosphere as the guests enjoyed the freshly-prepared food and raised a toast to the happy couple. It was a day that will be remembered for years to come!

Being British I just have to mention the weather! Mother Nature must have been feeling a little indecisive! One moment it was blowing a gale and there was torrential rain, and the next there was blue sky and blazing sunshine. But oh boy, did she make up for it with the most glorious sunset I’ve seen in a while! A calm breeze and sunny skies provided the perfect backdrop for the stunning light show that painted the skies with deep oranges and soft pinks.

A special mention has to go the staff at Pentney Abbey. Hannah and her team were incredibly friendly and accommodating, ensuring that everything ran smoothly. From the breathtaking scenery to the delicious food and drink, no detail was overlooked.

Being a part of Charlie and Justin’s wedding day will remain one of my most memorable experiences. The love and joy they shared was a beautiful reminder of the commitment and dedication it takes to build a successful and happy marriage. As you plan your own wedding, remember that whether it’s a grand affair or a small gathering, what really counts is the love and connection between partners. Take it from Charlie and Justin – they proved that all you need is love to have a wedding that truly stands out.
