A PERFECT CITY CENTRE WEDDING AT THE HALLS NORWICH
There's something magical about city centre weddings, especially if they take place in a historically-rich and visually stunning place like The Halls Norwich. Jemima and Marc had their wedding last Saturday at this fantastic venue and it was a day to remember. They chose Norwich to get married not only because of its beauty but also because they both studied for their PhDs in Norwich and met while at university. It was only natural that they would want to solidify their love in this special place that means so much to them.
The Ceremony
The venue's Blackfriars Hall was the perfect place for Jemima and Marc's to say their vows, witnessed by 200 of their loved ones. The hall is quite breathtaking with its high ceilings, huge leaded glass windows, and breathtaking architecture. Jemima, in her stunning dress, looked like a dream as she walked down the aisle. Marc, sporting a dapper suit and bow tie, waited with a smile on his face, couldn't wait to say "I do."
The Reception
After the ceremony, the newly married husband and wife and their guests enjoyed a drinks reception in the gardens surrounded by the historical buildings. The sunshine beamed down on the guests as they laughed and mingled on the open lawns while enjoying their drinks. Everyone then headed into St Andrews Hall for a delicious hog roast provided by Spitting Pig.
After the speeches Jemima, Marc and I headed out into the streets of Norwich to take some couple photos. The city, with its cobbled streets and beautiful buildings, made for an excellent backdrop to their pictures. Elm Hill, in particular, is one of my favourite parts of Norwich. The light at this time of the day was just stunning - a wedding photographers dream.
The Party
Jemima & Marc chose to have a Ceilidh band as their evening entertainment. The celebrations were in full swing and the band had everyone up and dancing. Ceilidh always makes for amazing candid and amusing photos, with much laughter, confusion, and general joy as everyone joins in and dances. It's a great way to round off the evening and has always been a crowd-pleaser. Jemima and Marc's wedding day was undoubtedly memorable, with their choice of venue adding an extra bit of magic to the occasion.
